The patented lateral grasp buttons (above,left) automatically clamp on different-sized bottle necks and position the spiral in the center of the cork.The spiral is hardened, and double Teflon-coated, with a precise tip for insertion. The Vino Variable uses a "continuous turn" mechanism, where you just keep turning clockwise and the worm inserts in the cork, and the cork just rises on the worm for extraction.
