A charming corkscrew from a simpler time. Nontron's top handle is connected directly to the spiral and is used to insert it into the cork. Turn the bottom handle to lift the top handle - and hence the cork - out of the bottle.
Nontron, a small town in southwest France, is known for its artisanal cutlery. The pokerwork pattern, traditional on all the cutlery, consists of two rows of small dots and horseshoe shapes known as "mouche" (fly), and is said to be based on a Moorish design. Comes with explanation of the Nontron tradition.
MADE IN FRANCE.
