The Chateau Laguiole Grand Cru Oak Barrel handle is made from actual Oak Barrels used in wine making! Viewed from the side, as above, you will see purplish red color, where the wine has imparted color to the barrel during aging. Take a whiff, and you may even smell the "must"! Viewed above, from the "spine", you will see lighter brown oak color, from the "inside" of the barrel. The handle finish is rustic on this piece, to retain the unique qualities of this contact with the wine.
