Ahh Super Two Pronged Cork Extractor,
| This Twist-Style double-pronged Wine Opener is also known as "The Butler's Friend", or, "The Dishonest Butler", because a butler, so-inclined, could remove the cork without drilling a hole in it, drink a little wine, and replace the cork - undetected! These Double Pronged Cork Extractors are often recommended for bottles with dry corks, or older bottles with fragile corks. Chrome or Brass plated with ABS plastic sheath. Scratched Sheath. |

| Technique: - Remove the foil from your wine bottle - Insert the longer prong between the cork and the bottle neck, then the shorter prong - Rock the 2 prongs back and forth, deeper between the neck and the cork - Hold the wine bottle firmly with one hand, and twist the Ahh Super handle with the other, breaking the adhesion between cork and bottle neck. - Pull the cork out, twisting just a little more as the cork rises. NOTES: - This may take a little practice. If there's a "target" older bottle you have in mind, you might wish to practice first on 2-3 newer bottles, just to get the hang of it. (buy a wine saver, if needed, for these newer bottles!) - Again, with an older bottle, you might also buy a Corkfish, to retreive errant cork debris. |
