The Roundlet Corkscrew |
|
| The roundlet, a pocket corkscrew in the shape of a barrel, originated in England in the mid-Nineteenth Century. After several enhancements, the basic design of the roundlet had stabilized by the second half of the Nineteenth Century. Most notable of these enhancements put the worm on a guide inside one end of the barrel, so that the worm could slide out of, and then turn perpendicular to, the barrel. |
| An English version, from the turn of the 20th century.
