Direct Pull: Folding Corkscrews

Folding corkscrews with a bow shaped handle first appeared in England in the eighteenth century. In the nineteenth century, Germany produced some interesting variations. Because of their compact size, folding corkscrews can be easily carried on one's person and, therefore, are also classified as pocket corkscrews.
